Sustainable
Packaging
As a sustainable brand, it’s not enough to stop thinking about our ecological footprint after our final product is made. We have to think about the packaging that it travels in. Below are the sustainable ways we get our garments into your hands.
Because our scrunchies are so small, using one of our larger polymailers doesn’t make sense. So we’ve opted for small kraft paper envelopes made from 100% recycled content. They can also be recycled with your other paper.
Conventional polymailers are made from pvc (plastic) which is not a recyclable material. Our polymailers are made from 100% recycled content, have an extra adhesive for you to reuse, and they can be recycled after they have been used multiple times.
We've partnered with QUIL, a reusable packaging company based in Canada, to ship our largers orders. Not only are these mailers sturdy and made in Canada, but they are designed to be reused over and over again.
When your order comes in a QUIL mailer, you will have instructions on how to fold it back up and return it to QUIL's HQ using the prepaid return label inside.
When we sell at markets or have local pick ups, we provide kraft bags for those who need them. We choose kraft instead of conventional paper because it is made from 100% recycled paper content instead of new wood content.
Our hang tags are made from 100% post-consumer paper content. The ties are made with hemp, which doesn’t require pesticides or herbicides to make and is 100% biodegradable at the end of its life. Please remember to recycle your hang tags in the paper recycling bin, and compost your hemp twine.
All of our thank you cards are printed on 100% recycled paper content.
